Creating wild-crafted, sustainably harvested, and exceptionally decadent fragrances, Juniper Ridge is just a different animal. Everything they make is handcrafted, and in the case of the final packaging design, right down to the lids of the cologne bottles.
The challenge with Juniper Ridge was designing a brand and packaging line that could match the uniqueness of the product and the quirkiness of the team who makes it. We needed to create a brand that was rugged, high-end, and most importantly, experimental. Their mission was bringing the essence of nature to the market, and ours was to help them do just that.

Designing the Packaging

Working with a client willing to get their hands dirty payed dividends when it came to creating something truly wild. There was no way to wrap nature's goodness without a personal touch and a delicate attention to the little things.
Every label is stamped with a batch number, and every batch is just a little bit different from the one before it. Each product is named after the land the ingredients are wild-harvested from.
During a meeting, we discovered that every excursion into the wilderness was photographed and documented with illustrations and watercolors in a notebook – this became the essence that the brand and packaging were built around.

Juniper Ridge even created a limited edition line called Field Lab. This was their experimental line that included one-off products, unique concoctions, and pretty much whatever they set their mind to. These of course came with custom hangtags and sometimes bottles dipped in the earth itself.

Wilderness Perfumer's Field Guide

A catalog that's as much a labor of love as it is a tribute to the process of wild-harvesting fragrance ingredients.
Assembled by hand, the field guide takes customers through a harvest. Polaroids, notes, illustrations, and stickers were attached by paperclip, mirroring the notebooks that Juniper Ridge took with them on each trek.
